Germany

Oh boy,
Driving on the autobahn. I had the little Golf up to 195Kpm, Weee. Kathy's knuckles were a little white there for a while! We had a riot at the flea market, we both found a lot of stuff to buy...including some "sehr gut" food. I now know what Johnny Mathis was singing about- chestnuts roasting on an open fire- Mmm Mmm good! I bought a roasted chicken too!
The people were so polite. I would walk up looking at something and the vendor would start speaking- very quickly I might add- until I said something in english- then suddenly I was Forrest Gump- "cost...ist...funf..."- while holding up five fingers. We always found a way to make the sale! Kathy found some more Christmas gifts, while I bought 2 rings, a bracelet, and what appears to be about 20lbs of chocolate. We're taking the train into Dusseldorf this aftenoon. This way Kathy can show me the train/bus service so I can travel out on my own on the days she is working, plus we get to walk around and see the sites. Nothing much is open on Sunday's so there shouldn't be any crowds. Tomorrow I will go back to Dusseldorf and Tuesday I will venture further to Koln. I'll take some photo's and post them. Auf Wiedersehen
